FAQs

What is the Capstone Project?

The Capstone Project for the Web3 Bootcamp involves hands-on learning with a Web3 startup.  Startups for the program are either participants in an accelerator program such as Angel Labs, or individually selected by ByteBao.

Can I obtain legal work from ByteBao without attending the Web3 Bootcamp?

Part of the value that we provide to our clients is the ability to ensure that all attorneys listed under ByteBao truly understand Web3 and its legal challenges. The Web3 Bootcamp is our way to ensure that each attorney in the ByteBao ecosystem is able to provide quality legal and compliance support to clients.

How are the classes structured?

The virtual classes are conducted on Saturdays for 2-3 hours each week. The classes included course instruction, small-group discussion, and case application.

Is this bootcamp just for attorneys?

We want to create the best learning experience for all participants. At this time, the Web3 bootcamp is for law school graduates and licensed attorneys only.

Can attorneys from anywhere apply?

Yes, as long as you have a working level proficiency in English, you may apply.  All courses are taught in English.

What is the time commitment?

You should plan on  3-4 hours of content and small group discussions per week - plus any unscheduled time you spend interacting with experts and fellow cohort founders in Discord. We think this will save you time and not add to your load.

How is ByteBao different from other Web3 bootcamps?

Our program is designed specifically for those interested in the legal challenges in Web3. Also, our classes are interactive, meaning that we want to hear from you! We discuss real cases from our practice and through discussion arrive at creative legal solutions that you can apply towards your legal practice or business.

Jamilia Grier sitting
"When I first started my journey into Web3, there were no resources for attorneys. I first learned how the technology worked and then learned how to apply my work experience as in-house counsel to major corporations to help startups.

It wasn't easy and there is still a lot to learn in terms of supporting this innovation. However, in small groups and working closely with startups, we can create a framework that benefits our clients and also supports attorneys as they learn how to best protect their clients interests."
